- Home ed
- Home educators can book as an education group, which is far cheaper than normal tickets: £35 covers entry for a group of up to 16 children plus the supervising adults needed. Optional sessions led by a Kew teacher are £43 for 45 minutes or £86 for 90 minutes per group (up to 18 people including adults). Every child must come with a supervising adult. Book through the school visits form; questions to [email protected] or 020 8332 5627.
- Good to know
- Extra adults beyond the supervision ratio pay £13.50 each. You need to organise a group and book ahead – it isn't a walk-up discount.
Why we'd go
The Children's Garden (ages 2–12) is superb – sand, water and climbing in beautifully landscaped zones – and can easily become the main event. Plenty of shade and space beyond it.
Watch out for
Entry to Kew is on the higher side. The Children's Garden runs in 90-minute timed sessions and gets very busy in summer and holidays – go just after opening, and bring spare clothes.
Details last checked: 1 October 2026. Please check with the venue before you travel.
