Why we'd go
The Egyptian mummies win over most children, and the free family trails and backpacks (ages 5–11) keep a visit focused.
Watch out for
It's huge and can overwhelm – pick two or three galleries rather than trying to see it all. Busiest 11am–2pm, especially around the Rosetta Stone.
