Why we'd go
The modern Discovery Centre has interactive displays, a café and toilets, and the level paths are fine for pushchairs. Self-guided trail maps are available.
Watch out for
It's an exposed stretch of coast – bring layers and wellies. Take crayons and paper for the brass rubbings.
