Why we'd go
Real tanks and bridge-layers to see up close outside, and a Harrier jump jet and V2 rocket inside, with things to try on. It's rarely busy, so you can go at your own pace, and tickets last a year.
Watch out for
There's a lot of reading, so outside the home ed days it suits older children best. The café is small and closes at 3:30pm – bring a picnic for the tables among the vehicles.
Details last checked: 7 October 2026. Please check with the venue before you travel.
