- Home ed
- The museum welcomes home education visits. Kent County Council's current list of home ed discounts gives £4 per child with the accompanying adult free. Arrange it with the School and Group Visits Manager: [email protected] or 07545 214711.
- Practical
- Open Sundays, Wednesdays and bank holidays only, 10:30–16:30 (last entry 15:30).
Why we'd go
A hit with vehicle-mad children: a big model railway with buttons to press, a treasure hunt, friendly volunteers and a small café. Your ticket gives a year of return visits.
Watch out for
A small, volunteer-run museum, so check opening days before you travel. Mostly looking rather than climbing aboard.
Details last checked: 1 October 2026. Please check with the venue before you travel.
