Why we'd go
Thatched Iron Age roundhouses in native woodland, with properly hands-on activities such as bread making, pottery, bushcraft, den building and archery. Easily a full day for ages 7 to 9.
Watch out for
What's on varies a lot – weekend open days, bookable event days and school sessions are different things – so check the calendar. Outdoors, so dress for mud.
