Why we'd go
A free, modern museum with local history, Victorian dress-up and hands-on displays, plus a children's library with murals and cubby holes. The £3 home ed sessions are excellent value.
Watch out for
It's compact, so you'll see it in an hour or two. Make a day of it with a walk to the Pantiles. There's no car park of its own, so use the paid town-centre car parks.
Details last checked: 7 October 2026. Please check with the venue before you travel.
