Kew Wakehurst
Ardingly, West Sussex
Visit any day
Kew's wild botanic garden and Millennium Seed Bank; school sessions EYFS–KS5.
- Home ed
- No home ed offer is advertised. Wakehurst runs curriculum-linked education sessions for booked groups (early years to KS5), which need booking at least six weeks ahead – ask through their education booking enquiry form whether a home ed group can book.
Why we'd go
Kew's wild garden: wide, smooth paths with no steps or stiles, lots of benches, natural play such as a tree-trunk trek, and plenty for ages from toddler to 12.
Watch out for
It's hilly in places (steep sections are marked on the map), and parking and food are on the higher side – National Trust members get in free but still pay to park. Bring a picnic.
Details last checked: 1 October 2026. Please check with the venue before you travel.
