Why we'd go
Tudor kitchens, the Great Hall and the maze, plus the Magic Garden – a superb playground with a dragon, towers, sand and water for toddlers to about age 10. There's a children's audio tour too.
Watch out for
Bring spare clothes and wellies for the Magic Garden, and go early as entry can be limited when it's busy. Check it's open – the Magic Garden is seasonal – and note the maze closes earlier than the palace.
Details last checked: 29 September 2026. Please check with the venue before you travel.
