Why we'd go
Reconstructed Stone Age to Saxon houses you can go inside, some with fires lit, with storytelling, digging for artefacts and a trail puzzle. Learning by stealth – allow around four hours.
Watch out for
It's a working outdoor site – wear boots, as it gets muddy, and expect the roundhouses to be dark and smoky. Archery and some crafts cost extra.
